St. Louis, January 13, 2024 - In an expansion of the December 2023 voluntary recall by The Quaker Oats Company due to the possible contamination of multiple products with Salmonella, Dierbergs Markets has removed another affected product from its shelves.

Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience symptoms and illness but usually recover. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses.
